Sertal 50

Presentation: Each tablet contains 50 mg Sertraline (as Sertraline Hydrochloride).

Indications: Treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Anxiety Disorder ¹ (SAD), Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD).

Dosage & Administration: Usual starting dose for depression, OCD, panic disorder, PTSD, and social anxiety disorder is 50 mg once daily. May be increased by a doctor to a maximum of 200 mg daily. For PMDD, usual dose is 50-150 mg daily. Follow doctor's instructions. May be taken with or without food.

Side Effects: Common: Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, weight changes, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, insomnia, sexual dysfunction. Less common: Anxiety, agitation, tremor, sweating. Rare: Serotonin syndrome, seizures, abnormal bleeding.

Precautions: Inform doctor of liver problems, kidney diseases, seizures, heart problems, bleeding disorders, or if pregnant or breastfeeding. Caution with alcohol and other CNS depressants. May interact with other medications, including MAOIs. Monitor for worsening depression or suicidal thoughts, especially in children and young adults.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
