Generic Name: Palonosetron Hydrochloride

Strength: Each tablet contains Palonosetron Hydrochloride INN equivalent to Palonosetron 0.5 mg.

Indications:

Palzen 0.5 mg is indicated for:

• Acute and delayed nausea and vomiting.
• Uncontrolled nausea and vomiting.
• Prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with moderately and highly emetogenic chemotherapy.  
• Prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with radiotherapy.  
• Prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting.  

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: The usual tablet dosage is 0.5 mg daily.
• Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: 0.5 mg approximately 1 hour prior to the start of chemotherapy.
• Radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: Please consult a doctor for appropriate dosage.
• Post-operative nausea and vomiting: Please consult a doctor for appropriate dosage.

Contraindications:  

• Palzen 0.5 mg is contraindicated in patients known to have hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components.  

Side Effects:   

• The most common side effects are headaches and constipation.

Precautions:

• Please inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions and medications you are taking.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: Palzen 0.5 mg is pregnancy category B. Please consult your doctor before use.
• Lactation: It is not known whether Palonosetron is excreted in human milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Storage:

• Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place.
• Protect from light.
• Keep out of reach of children.
