✨ Enazol Plus Cream (Econazole Nitrate & Triamcinolone Acetonide)
Enazol Plus is a powerful combination cream designed to treat skin infections that are both fungal and inflammatory. It contains Econazole Nitrate, a broad-spectrum antifungal that kills fungi and certain bacteria, and Triamcinolone Acetonide, a corticosteroid that reduces redness, itching, and swelling.
📋 Indications
- Fungal Infections: Athlete's foot (Tinea Pedis), Ringworm (Tinea Corporis), and Jock itch (Tinea Cruris).
- Inflammatory Conditions: Eczematous mycoses, Psoriasis, and Inflammatory intertrigo (rashes in skin folds).
- Specific Rashes: Diaper dermatitis (nappy rash) and infections caused by yeasts or moulds.
🥄 Dosage & Administration
- Adults: Apply sparingly to the affected area no more than 2 times daily (ideally once in the morning and once in the evening).
- Duration: Use only until the inflammation subsides. Do not use for longer than 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, if further treatment is needed, your doctor may switch you to a cream containing only the antifungal (Econazole).
- Note: Do not use airtight (occlusive) dressings or bandages over the cream unless directed by a doctor.
⚠️ Important Safety Precautions
- External Use Only: Keep away from the eyes and mouth. If it gets in the eyes, rinse with clean water or saline.
- Children: Use with extreme caution. Children's skin absorbs steroids more easily, which can lead to hormonal issues. Use only for short periods (less than 2 weeks) and on small areas.
- Skin Thinning: Prolonged use of steroids can lead to skin thinning (atrophy), stretch marks, and visible blood vessels.
- Vision Alert: If you experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances, stop use and see an ophthalmologist.
🤰 Pregnancy & Lactation
- Pregnancy: Avoid using in large amounts or for long periods, as Triamcinolone can cross the placenta.
- Lactation: It is not recommended for nursing mothers. If prescribed, breastfeeding should be paused during treatment.
