Presentation: Each film-coated tablet contains Vonoprazan Fumarate equivalent to Vonoprazan 10 mg. It is usually available in blister packs.
Indications: Vonozan (Vonoprazan) is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) indicated for:
Dosage and Administration: Vonozan 10 mg tablet is usually administered orally once daily. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the specific condition being treated and the physician's instructions.
Vonozan can be taken without regard to food. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush it.
Side Effects: Commonly reported side effects may include diarrhea, constipation, nausea, abdominal distension, and indigestion. Other potential side effects include rash, urticaria, and elevated liver enzymes. Allergic reactions, including drug hypersensitivity and anaphylactic shock, have been reported rarely.
Precautions: Vonozan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Vonoprazan or any of the excipients and in patients receiving atazanavir sulphate, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine hydrochloride. Exercise caution in patients with renal disorders, as a delay in excretion may occur, leading to increased blood concentration. Avoid use in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment. Symptomatic response to Vonozan does not preclude the presence of gastric malignancy. Long-term use may be associated with an increased risk of fundic gland polyps.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Vonoprazan should be used in pregnant women or women with the possibility of being pregnant only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk. It is advisable to avoid administering Vonoprazan to nursing mothers.
Storage: Store below 30°C, in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
