Visral 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Tiemonium Methylsulphate INN 50 mg. Visral is a brand name marketed by Opsonin Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. It is usually available in blister packs.

Indications: Visral (Tiemonium Methylsulphate) is an antispasmodic agent indicated for the symptomatic relief of pain associated with smooth muscle spasms, particularly in the digestive and urogenital systems. It is used for conditions such as:

• Abdominal pain and cramps
• Biliary colic
• Renal colic
• Spasms of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., irritable bowel syndrome)
• Dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps)

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dose is one tablet (50 mg) two to three times daily, as needed. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water. The dosage and duration of treatment should be determined by the physician based on the severity of the symptoms and the patient's response.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include dry mouth, drowsiness, blurred vision, and constipation. Less common side effects can include tachycardia (increased heart rate), urinary retention, and allergic reactions (such as skin rash or itching).

Precautions: Visral (Tiemonium Methylsulphate) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tiemonium methylsulphate or any of the excipients. It should be used with caution in patients with:

• Narrow-angle glaucoma
• Prostatic hypertrophy with a tendency to urinary retention
• Severe hepatic or renal impairment
• Tachycardia or other cardiac conditions
• Intestinal obstruction or ileus

Due to the potential for drowsiness, patients should exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: The safety of Tiemonium Methylsulphate during pregnancy has not been fully established. It should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.It is not known whetherTiemonium Methylsulphate is excreted in human milk; therefore, caution should be exercised when administering to breastfeeding women.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
