Vinca 20mg 

Presentation: Vinca 20mg Tablet, available in Bangladesh, contains Vonoprazan 20 mg. It is presented as a film-coated tablet for oral administration and is usually available in blister packs. 

Indications: Vinca (Vonoprazan) is indicated for the treatment of acid-related disorders including:

• Gastric ulcer  
• Duodenal ulcer  
• Reflux esophagitis  
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin administration  
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer duringNSAID administration  
• As an adjunct to Helicobacter pylori eradication in specific conditions.

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dose for oral administration is:

• Gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer: 20 mg once daily for 8 weeks (gastric ulcer) and 6 weeks (duodenal ulcer).
• Reflux esophagitis: 20 mg once daily for 4 weeks, which may be extended up to 8 weeks if needed. For maintenance therapy of reflux esophagitis showing recurrence and recrudescence, the dose is 10 mg once daily, which may be increased up to 20 mg once daily if efficacy is inadequate.  
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin or NSAID administration:10 mg once daily.  
• Adjunct to Helicobacter pylori eradication:20 mgof Vonoprazan, 750 mg of amoxicillin hydrate, and 200 mg of clarithromycin administered orally at the same time twice daily for seven days. The dose of clarithromycin may be increased as clinically warranted.

Vinca can be taken without regard to food or the timing of food intake. Always follow your doctor's specific instructions.

Side Effects: Following side effects have been reported with the use of Vonoprazan:

• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Drug hypersensitivity reactions
• Drug eruption
• Urticaria
• Hepatotoxicity
• Jaundice
• Rash
• Nausea
• Abdominal distension

Precautions: Vinca (Vonoprazan) is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Vonoprazan or any of the excipients and in patients receiving atazanavir sulphate, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine hydrochloride. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity. It should be used in pregnant women or women having the possibility of being pregnant only if the expected therapeutic benefitoutweighs any possible risk. Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with Vonoprazan; if administration is indispensable, nursing should be discontinued. Avoid the use of Vinca in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh B or C) and severe renal impairment (eGFR < 30 mL/min).

Storage: Store below 30°C, in a cool and dry place. Keep away from light. Keep all the medicine out of the reach of children.
