Vilazon 10is a brand name for a tablet containing 10 mg of Vilazodone Hydrochloride.Vilazodone is an antidepressant medication that belongs to a class of drugs called serotonin modulators.²It is manufactured by Renata Limited in Bangladesh.  

Indications:

Vilazon is indicated for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in adults.

Dosage and Administration:

The usual starting dose is 10 mg once daily with food for the first 7 days.5 The dose is then increased to 20 mg once daily. Based on the doctor's assessment, the dose may be further increased up to a maximum of 40 mg once daily.6 It should be taken at the same time each day with food.7

Side Effects:

Common side effects of Vilazodone may include:

• Nausea 
• Diarrhea 
• Vomiting 
• Insomnia (difficulty sleeping) 
• Headache 
• Dry mouth 
• Dizziness  

More serious side effects can occur, and it's important to contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:

• Changes in mood or behavior, including worsening depression or suicidal thoughts 
• Anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, irritability, hostility, impulsivity, or restlessness
• Signs of an allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing) 
• Fast or irregular heartbeat 
• Muscle stiffness or twitching 
• Confusion 
• Seizures 
• Unusual bleeding or bruising 
• Changes in vision or eye pain  

Precautions:

Inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions, including bipolar disorder, bleeding disorders, glaucoma, liver or kidney disease, seizures, or a history of suicidal thoughts. Vilazodone can interact with other medications, including MAO inhibitors, other antidepressants, triptans, and certain pain medications.23 It's important to tell your doctor about all the medications you are taking. Avoid alcohol while taking Vilazon.
