Presentation: Tablets containing 250 mg of Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). The formulation available in Bangladesh may also include chewable tablets.

Indications: Indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin C deficiency. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient involved in immune function, collagen synthesis, and antioxidant activity. It may be used as a dietary supplement, especially for individuals with limited intake of fruits and vegetables or increased requirements due to certain conditions.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage depends on the age of the individual and the severity of the deficiency. For adults, the usual dose is one to two tablets daily, or as directed by a physician. For children, the dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional. Swallow tablets with water or chew chewable tablets thoroughly before swallowing.

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated at recommended doses. High doses may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.

Precautions: Use with caution in individuals with a history of kidney stones or kidney disease. High doses of Vitamin C may interfere with certain laboratory tests. Individuals with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency should consult a physician before use.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
