Tinilux 

Presentation: Tygin 50 Tablet, available in Bangladesh, contains Tiemonium Methylsulfate 50 mg. It is presented as tablets for oral administration and is usually available in blister packs. Tinilux 50 is a product of Sharif Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Indications: Tygin (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) is indicated as an antispasmodic for the symptomatic treatment of pain associated with functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system. It is also used for the treatment of spasm and pain in urological and gynecological conditions, including:

  • Dysentery
  • Diarrhea
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Biliary colic
  • Enterocolitis
  • Cholecystitis
  • Colonopathies
  • Spasm and pain in the urinary tract
  • Spasm and pain in gynecological conditions

Dosage and Administration: The usual oral dosage for adults is 2 to 6 tablets (100-300 mg) daily, divided into several doses as needed. The tablets should be swallowed with water. Always follow the specific instructions provided by your physician.

Side Effects: The use of Tinilux (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) may be associated with the risk of hypotension (low blood pressure) and tachycardia (rapid heart rate) in some individuals.

Precautions: Tinilux (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) is contraindicated in patients with:

  • Urethroprostatic disorders where there is a risk of urine retention.
  • Risk of angle-closure glaucoma.

Caution should be exercised in patients with disorders of the prostate, chronic bronchitis, coronary insufficiency, ambient hyperthermia, and renal or hepatic insufficiency. Due to the potential for visual disturbances, caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.

Use in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Animal studies have not revealed any teratogenic effects. However, due to a lack of sufficient human data, caution should be exercised when prescribing Tinilux to pregnant women. While no issues have been reported with normal use during breastfeeding, it is advisable to exercise caution in nursing mothers. Consult a healthcare professional for guidance.

Storage: Store in a dry place, away from light and heat. Keep out of the reach of children. Store below 30°C.
