Timoben 50 

Presentation: Timoben 50 Tablet, available in Bangladesh, contains Tiemonium Methylsulfate 50 mg.

Indications: Timoben (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) is an antispasmodic drug indicated for the symptomatic treatment of pain related to functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system. It helps to reduce muscle spasms of the intestine, biliary system, uterus, and urinary bladder. It is used in conditions such as:  

• Gastroenteritis  
• Diarrhea  
• Dysentery  
• Biliary colic  
• Enterocolitis  
• Cholecystitis  
• Colonopathies  
• Mild cystitis  
• Spasmodic dysmenorrhea  

Dosage and Administration:   The recommended oral dose of Timoben 50 Tablet for adults is 2 to 6 tablets (100-300 mg) daily in divided doses. It should be taken as directed by a physician.

Side Effects: Tiemonium Methylsulfate may have the risk of hypotension (low blood pressure) and tachycardia (rapid heart rate) in certain individuals.

Precautions: Timoben (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) should not be used in patients with:

• Glaucoma or acute pain of the eyeball with vision disturbance.
• Urethroprostatic disorders involving a risk of urine retention.
• Risk of angle-closure glaucoma.

Caution should be taken during the treatment of patients with:

• Disorders of the prostate.
• Chronic bronchitis.
• Coronary insufficiency.
• Ambient hyperthermia.
• Renal or hepatic insufficiency.

The risk of visual disturbances may make it dangerous to drive or use machines.

Storage: Keep in a dry place, away from light and heat. Keep out of the reach of children. Store below 30°C.
