Sergel 20

Indications: Sergel 20 is indicated for the treatment of conditions related to excessive stomach acid production, such as:  

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)  
• Healing of erosive esophagitis
• Maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis
• In combination with antibiotics for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in patients with duodenal ulcers
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
• Acid-related dyspepsia
• Duodenal and gastric ulcers

Dosage and Administration: The usual dosage for adults varies depending on the condition being treated. It is generally recommended to take Sergel 20 capsules orally, at least one hour before a meal. The capsules should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.

• GERD: Typically 20 mg once daily for 4 weeks, with a possible additional 4 weeks if symptoms persist.
• Erosive Esophagitis: 20 mg or 40 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks.
• Maintenance of Healed Erosive Esophagitis: 20 mg once daily.
• H. pylori Eradication: 40 mg once daily for 10 days in combination with specific antibiotics.
• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Dosage ranges from 20-80 mg once daily, adjusted based on individual needs.
• Acid-related Dyspepsia: 20-40 mg once daily for 2-4 weeks.
• Duodenal Ulcer: 20 mg once daily for 2-4 weeks.
• Gastric Ulcer: 20-40 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks.
