Rabepes M 10 

Presentation:Each enteric-coated tablet contains Rabeprazole Sodium INN 10 mg.Rabepes M 10 is a brand name marketed by Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC in Bangladesh.It is usually available in blister packs. The enteric coating helps protect the medication from stomach acid.  

Indications:Rabepes M 10 (Rabeprazole) is indicated for the treatment of acid-related disorders, including:  

• Symptomatic treatment of moderate to very severe gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD).  
• Eradication of Helicobacter pyloriin patients with peptic ulcer disease (in combination with appropriate antibacterial regimens).  
• Other conditions where gastric acid reduction is beneficial, as determined by a physician.  

Dosage and Administration:Rabepes M 10 tablets should be swallowed whole and taken once daily, preferably in the morning before food.The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the specific condition being treated and the physician's instructions.

• Symptomatic GERD:The usual dose is 10 mg once daily in patients without oesophagitis.If symptom control is not achieved within four weeks, further investigation may be needed. Once symptoms have resolved, subsequent control can be achieved using an on-demand regimen of 10 mg once daily when needed.  
• H. pylori Eradication: The recommended regimen is Rabeprazole 20 mg twice daily (a higher strength is usually used for this indication), along with specific antibiotics, for 7 days.

Side Effects:Common side effects may include headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and dry mouth.  

Precautions:Rabepes M 10 (Rabeprazole) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rabeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, or any excipients.Gastric malignancy should be excluded before initiating therapy. Caution should be exercised in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation:Rabeprazole should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus.It is not knownif rabeprazole is excreted in human milk. Caution should be exercised when administering to breastfeeding women.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
