Generic Name: Palonosetron Hydrochloride

Strength: Each tablet contains Palonosetron Hydrochloride equivalent to Palonosetron 0.5 mg.

Indications:

Palotic is an antiemetic medication used in adults for the prevention of:

• Acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with moderately emetogenic chemotherapy.
• Nausea and vomiting associated with highly emetogenic chemotherapy.
• Postoperative nausea and vomiting.

Dosage and Administration:

• The usual adult dose is 0.5 mg taken orally once daily.
• For chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, it is typically administered about 1 hour before the start of chemotherapy.
• For postoperative nausea and vomiting, it is usually given as a single intravenous dose. Oral tablets may also be used as directed by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's specific instructions.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to palonosetron or any of its components.

Side Effects:

• Common: Headache, constipation.
• Less Common: Dizziness, fatigue.
• Rare: Hypersensitivity reactions (including anaphylaxis), serotonin syndrome (especially with other serotonergic drugs), and heart rhythm changes (QT prolongation).

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with a history of heart rhythm problems or electrolyte imbalances.
• Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, especially those that can affect serotonin levels or heart rhythm.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: Category B. Consult your doctor before use.
• Lactation: It is not known if palonosetron passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Storage:

• Store below 30°C.
• Protect from light and moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
