Indications: Nitacure (Nitazoxanide) is indicated for the treatment of diarrhea caused by:

  • Cryptosporidium parvum
  • Giardia lamblia
  • Entamoeba histolytica It may also be used for the treatment of certain worm infections as determined by a healthcare professional.

Dosage and Administration: Nitacure should be administered orally with food to enhance absorption. The dosage depends on the age of the patient and the specific infection being treated.

  • Tablets (500 mg):
    • Adults and children over 12 years: One 500 mg tablet every 12 hours for 3 days.

    • Children 1-3 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) every 12 hours for 3 days.

The oral suspension should be shaken well before use. Always follow the specific instructions provided by your physician for the correct dosage and duration of treatment.
