Nebifast 5contains Nebivololat a strength of 5mg per tablet.Nebivolol is a beta-blockerthat primarily works by selectively blocking beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart.This action leads to a slower heart rate and relaxed blood vessels, which helps to lower blood pressure.  

Indications: Nebifast (Nebivolol) is primarily used for the treatment of:

• Hypertension(high blood pressure).
• It is also used to treat stable mild and moderate chronic heart failurein elderly patients aged 70 years or older, in addition to other standard therapies.  

Dosage and Administration:The usual starting dose for hypertension in adults is 5 mg once daily.The dosage may be increased gradually at 2-week intervals, if needed, up to a maximum of 40 mg once daily. For elderly patients and those with kidney problems, a lower starting dose of 2.5 mg once daily may be considered. Nebifast 5 can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.  

Side Effects: Common side effects may include:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Fatigue
• Nausea
• Slow heart rate (bradycardia)  

Less common side effects can include low blood pressure, shortness of breath, and swelling in the extremities.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing heart conditions, liver or kidney problems, asthma, diabetes, or thyroid disorders. Nebifast may cause dizziness or fatigue, so caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery.Avoid stopping this medication suddenly, as it may worsen heart conditions.
