Linax E 5/10

Presentation: Each tablet of Linax E 5/10 contains empagliflozin 5 mg and linagliptin 10 mg.

Indications:Linax E (empagliflozin and linagliptin) is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.  

Dosage and Administration:The recommendeddose of Linax E is one tablet once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food.Renal function should be assessed before initiating Linax E and periodically thereafter. Linax E should not be initiated if eGFR is below 45 mL/min/1.73 m² and should be discontinued if eGFR falls below this level.

Side Effects:Common side effects may include urinary tract infections, nasopharyngitis, and increased urination.Hypoglycemia may occur when Linax E is used in combination with insulin or insulin secretagogues. Genital mycotic infections have also been reported.  

Precautions: Linax E is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, or dialysis, and in patients with a history of hypersensitivity reaction to empagliflozin or linagliptin. It should not be used for the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis.Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pancreatitis and in those at risk of volume depletion.

Storage:Store below 30°C, protected from moisture.Keep out of reach of children.
