Linatin M 850

Presentation:Each film-coated tablet contains 2.5 mg of linagliptin and 850 mg of metformin hydrochloride.

Indications:Linatin M is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus whentreatment with both linagliptin and metformin is appropriate.This includes:

• Patients not adequately controlled on metformin hydrochloride alone.  
• Patients already treated with linagliptin and metformin hydrochloride as separate tablets.

Dosage and Administration: The usual starting dose is one tablet twice daily with meals. Dosage should be individualized based on the patient's current regimen, effectiveness, and tolerability, while not exceeding the maximum dailydose of 5 mg linagliptin and 2000 mg metformin hydrochloride. Patients already taking linagliptin and metformin as separate tablets may be switched to Linatin M containing the same doses of each component.  

Side Effects:Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache.Hypoglycemia may occur when Linatin M is used in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as sulfonylureas or insulin.  

Precautions:Linatin M is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis,and known hypersensitivity tolinagliptin or metformin hydrochloride.Caution should be exercised in patients with moderate renal impairment, heart failure, and hepatic impairment. Alcohol consumption should be limited.

Storage:Store below 30°C, protected from moisture.Keep out of reach of children.
