Koloride IV 500ml

Presentation: Intravenous infusion solution in a 500 ml bag or bottle.

Ingredients: Sodium Chloride BP, Potassium Chloride BP, Calcium Chloride Dihydrate BP, Sodium Lactate BP in Water for Injections BP. Electrolyte concentrations will be specified on the packaging.

Indications: Indicated for fluid and electrolyte replacement in conditions such as dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, hypovolemia, and metabolic acidosis. May be used for intravenous fluid maintenance during prolonged illness or surgery.

Dosage & Administration: Dosage and rate of infusion are determined by a physician and depend on the patient's age, weight, clinical condition, and electrolyte balance. Administration is via intravenous infusion using sterile equipment.

Side Effects: Possible side effects include fluid overload, electrolyte disturbances (hypernatremia, hyperkalemia, hypercalcemia), infusion site reactions (pain, redness, swelling), and allergic reactions.

Precautions: Use with caution in patients with heart failure, renal impairment, hypertension, and conditions with sodium or fluid retention. Monitor fluid balance, electrolyte levels, and acid-base balance during infusion. Contraindicated in hypervolemia and severe electrolyte imbalances.

Storage: Store below 30°C. Protect from freezing and excessive heat. Use only if the solution is clear and the container is undamaged. Discard any unused portion. Keep out of reach of children.
