Glipita 50

Presentation: Each tablet contains 50 mg of sitagliptin.

Indications:Glipita is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.It can be used as monotherapy or in combinationwith other glucose-lowering medications.

Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose of Glipita is 50 mg twice daily or 100 mg once daily. It can be taken with or without food. When used in combination with certain other antidiabetic medications (like sulfonylureas or insulin), a lower dose of those medications may be needed to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include headache, upper respiratory tract infection, and nasopharyngitis. Hypoglycemia can occur when Glipita is used in combination with insulin or sulfonylureas.

Precautions: Glipita is contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reactions to sitagliptin. Caution should be used in patients with renal impairment, and dosage adjustments may be necessary. If pancreatitis is suspected, Glipita should be discontinued.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
