Ezyfeel 10 Tablet

Presentation: Ezyfeel 10 is available as tablets, each containing Sodium Picosulfate BP 10 mg.

Indications: Ezyfeel (Sodium Picosulfate) is indicated for the short-term relief of constipation of any etiology, including prolonged and recurrent constipation. It can also be used for bowel clearance before surgery, childbirth, or radiological investigations.

Dosage and Administration: Ezyfeel 10 tablets are for oral administration. The following dosages are recommended to be taken at night to produce evacuation the following morning. It is recommended to start with the lowest dose. The dose may be adjusted up to the maximum recommended dose to produce regular stools. The maximum recommended daily dose should not be exceeded:  

• Adults and children over 10 years:  5-10 mg (½ to 1 tablet) once daily at bedtime.
• Children aged 4-10 years: 2.5-5 mg (¼ to ½ tablet) once daily at bedtime.
• Children under 4 years: Use of Ezyfeel tablets is generally not recommended; a liquid formulation may be more suitable under medical advice.

Ensure adequate fluid intake during treatment.

Side Effects: Common side effects of Ezyfeel (Sodium Picosulfate) may include:

• Abdominal discomfort, cramps, or pain
• Diarrhoea
• Nausea

Less common side effects may include dizziness and syncope (fainting). Hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash or itching have also been reported.

Precautions: Ezyfeel (Sodium Picosulfate) is contraindicated in patients with:

• Ileus or intestinal obstruction.
• Severe painful and/or feverish acute abdominal conditions (e.g., appendicitis).
• Acute inflammatory bowel diseases.  
• Severe dehydration.  
• Known hypersensitivity to Sodium Picosulfate or any other component of theproduct.

Caution should be exercised in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, and individuals with liver disease or epilepsy. Prolonged excessive use may lead to fluid and electrolyte imbalance. The concomitant use of diuretics or adreno-corticosteroids may increase the risk of electrolyte imbalance. Concurrent administration of antibiotics may reduce the laxative action.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: While animal studies have not shown harmful effects, it is generally recommended to avoid the use of Ezyfeel, especially during the first trimester of pregnancy, unless clearly needed. Clinical data suggest that Sodium Picosulfate does not pass into breast milk, so it can probably be used during breastfeeding. However, it is always advisable to consult a healthcare professional before use.

Storage: Keep below 30°C temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
