Ezyfeel 

Presentation: Ezyfeel is available as tablets containing 10 mg of sodium picosulfate BP. 

Indications: Ezyfeel is indicated for the relief of constipation of any etiology, including:

  • Occasional constipation
  • Prolonged and recurrent constipation
  • Bowel clearance before surgery, childbirth, or radiological investigations.

Dosage and Administration: Ezyfeel is for oral administration and is usually taken at night to produce an evacuation the following morning. It is recommended to start with the lowest dose. The dose may be adjusted up to the maximum recommended dose to produce regular stools. The maximum recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.  

  • Ezyfeel 10 mg Tablets:
    • Adults and children over 10 years: 5-10 mg (ÂŊ - 1 tablet) once daily at night.
    • Children 4-10 years: 2.5-5 mg (Âŧ - ÂŊ tablet) once daily at night.
    • Children under 4 years: Use of tablets is generally not recommended. Consult a doctor for appropriate formulation and dosage.
  • Ezyfeel Oral Solution (5 mg/5 ml):
    • Adults and children over 10 years: 5-10 ml (1-2 teaspoonfuls) once daily at night.
    • Children 4-10 years: 2.5-5 ml (ÂŊ - 1 teaspoonful) once daily at night.
    • Children 1 month to 4 years: 0.25 ml per kg body weight once daily at night.

Side Effects: Common side effects of Ezyfeel may include:

  • Abdominal discomfort (pain and cramps)
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting

Less common side effects may include:

  • Dizziness
  • Syncope (fainting)
  • Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., skin rash, itching)

Prolonged excessive use may lead to fluid and electrolyte imbalance, including hypokalemia.

Precautions:

  • Ezyfeel is contraindicated in patients with:
    • Ileus or intestinal obstruction.  
    • Severe painful and/or feverish acute abdominal conditions (e.g., appendicitis) potentially associated with nausea and vomiting.  
    • Acute inflammatory bowel diseases.  
    • Severe dehydration.  
    • Known hypersensitivityto sodium picosulfate or any other component of theproduct.
  • Use with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, and individuals with liver disease or epilepsy. It is generally avoided in the first trimester of pregnancy.
  • The concomitant use of diuretics or adreno-corticosteroids may increase the risk of electrolyte imbalance if excessive doses are taken.  
  • Concurrent administration of antibiotics may reduce the laxative actionof Ezyfeel.
  • Prolonged use of laxatives may lead to dependence.

Storage: Keep below 30°C temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
