Evitacap 400 

Presentation: Soft gelatin capsules containing Vitamin E (d-Alpha Tocopherol or dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate) 400 IU. Available in strips or blister packs. Manufactured by Ziska Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Ingredients: Vitamin E BP (as d-Alpha Tocopherol or dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate) 400 IU. Other ingredients may be present in the capsule shell.

Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of Vitamin E deficiency. May also be used as an antioxidant and for various health conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, rheumatoid arthritis pain, nerve damage caused by chemotherapy, male infertility, and age-related macular degeneration, as suggested by medical professionals.

Dosage & Administration: The usual adult dose is 1-2 capsules daily or as directed by a physician. Dosage may vary depending on the specific condition being treated. It is generally recommended to take the capsule with or after food for better absorption.

Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. Diarrhea and abdominal pain may occur with doses greater than 1000 IU daily.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Vitamin E. May impair the absorption of Vitamin A and the function of Vitamin K, and potentiates the effect of Warfarin. Use with caution in Vitamin K deficient patients or those taking anticoagulant treatments. It has been reported to increase the risk of thrombosis in patients predisposed to this condition, including patients taking estrogens. Consult a physician before use during pregnancy and lactation.

Storage: Keep in a dry place away from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 25°C.
