💊 Emodol (Ketorolac Tromethamine)
Emodol is a high-potency non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) primarily used for the short-term management of intense pain. Because it provides pain relief at a level comparable to opioids, it is strictly intended for short-duration use.
📋 Indications
- Acute Pain Management: Used for short-term relief of moderate to severe acute pain, typically after surgery.
- Ophthalmic Solution (Eye Drops): Used to relieve pain, inflammation, and light sensitivity after eye surgery, or to treat redness caused by seasonal allergies.
🥄 Dosage & Administration
- Tablets: The recommended dose is 10 mg every 4–6 hours.
- Maximum Limit: Do not exceed 40 mg/day.
- Duration: Must not be used for more than 7 days.
- Injection (IV/IM): Usually administered in a hospital setting for severe post-operative pain.
- Total Duration: Combined use of injection and tablets should not exceed 5 days.
- Eye Drops: 1 drop in each eye 4 times daily. Remove contact lenses before use.

- Stomach Health: Avoid use if you have a history of peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Eye Care: If using eye drops and you notice any breakdown of the cornea, stop use immediately and consult your eye doctor.

- Serious Risks: Gastrointestinal bleeding (black/tarry stools), hypertension (high blood pressure), and potential kidney impairment.
- Drug Interactions:
