Domigut 10 

Presentation: Each tablet contains Domperidone BP 10 mg. Domigut is a brand name marketed by Guardian Healthcare Ltd. in Bangladesh. It is usually available in blister packs.

Indications: Domigut (Domperidone) is indicated for the relief of symptoms of nausea and vomiting. It is also used for the relief of upper abdominal discomfort, epigastric fullness, and regurgitation of gastric contents.

Dosage and Administration: It is recommended to take Domigut tablets before meals. If taken after meals, absorption of the drug is somewhat delayed.  

• Adults and adolescents (over 12 years and weighing 35 kg ormore): One to two 10 mg tablets three to four times per day, with a maximum daily dose of 80 mg.
• Children: 0.25-0.5 mg/kg three to four times per day, with a maximum daily dose of 2.4 mg/kg (but not exceeding 80 mg per day).

The duration of treatment is usually short-term. Consult your physician for specific instructions.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include dry mouth, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Less common side effects can include dizziness, drowsiness, anxiety, and breast tenderness or enlargement (in both men and women), and menstrual irregularities in women. Rarely, serious side effects such as irregular heartbeat may occur.

Precautions: Domigut (Domperidone) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to domperidone or any of the excipients, prolactin-releasing pituitary tumor (prolactinoma),gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction or perforation. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or electrolyte imbalances.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Domperidone is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy. It may pass into breast milk, and breastfeeding is not recommended while taking this medicine due to potential safety concerns for the infant. Consult your doctor for advice.

Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
