Deflamax 6mg 

Presentation:Each tablet contains Deflazacort 6 mg.Available in strips.  

Indications:Treatment of inflammatory conditions such as asthma, arthritis, allergies.Management of autoimmune disorders. Treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in adults and children above 2 years.May be used to prevent organ rejection after transplantation.  

Dosage and Administration: Adults: Dosage varies depending on the condition being treated, usually ranging from 3 to 120 mg per day initially, with maintenance doses typically between 3 to 18 mg per day. Children: Dosage is usually based on body weight (0.25 to 1.5 mg/kg daily or every other day). Take orally with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.Follow the physician's instructions carefully.

Side Effects:Common side effects may include increased appetite, weight gain (especially around the face), indigestion, mood changes, difficulty sleeping, acne, and increased hair growth.Less common side effects may include muscle weakness, increased blood sugar levels, and increased risk of infection.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with systemic infections (unless specific anti-infective therapy is given), and hypersensitivity to deflazacort. Use with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, peptic ulcer, osteoporosis, and psychiatric disorders.Long-term use may suppress the immune system.Avoid live vaccinations while on this medication. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking.

Storage:Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light.Keep out of reach of children.
