Cenomate 12.5 mg contains Cenobamate. It is an anti-epileptic drug.

Strength: Available in 12.5 mg tablets.

Indications:

• Cenomate is indicated for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in adult patients.

Dosage and Administration:

• The recommended starting dose is 12.5 mg once daily for the first two weeks.
• The dose is then gradually increased, usually every two weeks.
• Cenomate can be taken with or without food.
• Swallow the tablet whole. If you cannot swallow it whole, it can be crushed and mixed with water for immediate use, either orally or via a nasogastric tube.
• Follow your doctor's instructions carefully for dosage and administration.

Contraindications:

• Known hypersensitivity to cenobamate or any of the ingredients.
• Patients with Familial Short QT syndrome.

Side Effects:

• Common: Sleepiness, fatigue, dizziness, double vision, headache.
• Less Common: Nausea, constipation, problems with coordination or balance, speech problems.
• Serious: Allergic reactions (rash, hives, swelling, difficulty breathing), changes in heart rhythm (QT shortening), suicidal thoughts or actions, nervous system problems.

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with a history of depression, mood disorders, or suicidal thoughts.
• Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease.
• Cenomate may cause dizziness and sleepiness; avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Tell your doctor about all other medications you are taking, as there can be interactions.
• Cenomate may reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives; alternative methods should be considered.
• Do not stop taking Cenomate suddenly, as this can increase the risk of seizures. It should be gradually withdrawn under medical supervision.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: Cenobamate may harm an unborn baby. Use during pregnancy only if the benefit outweighs the risk. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
• Lactation: It is not known if cenobamate passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Storage:

• Store below 30°C.
• Keep away from light and out of reach of children.
