Therefore, a 21ml bottle would be sufficient for a 6-12 day treatment course for a child weighing approximately 6.5 kg (525mg / 8mg/kg/day ≈ 65 days worth of a single dose, but treatment is usually 7-14 days). For older children requiring higher daily doses, the 21ml bottle will last for a shorter duration.
