Ingredients: Calcium Lactate BP 300 mg.

Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium deficiency, which can occur in growing children, pregnant and lactating mothers. Also used for symptoms associated with hypocalcemia such as paresthesia, muscle cramps, and tetany. May also be used for heartburn and as a phosphate binder in chronic renal failure.

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: 1-2 tablets (300-600 mg) daily.
• Children over 3 years: 1 tablet (300 mg) daily.
• Pregnant women: 3-4 tablets (900-1200 mg) daily during the third trimester and lactation. Should be taken orally, preferably with food.

Side Effects: Oral administration may cause gastrointestinal irritation and constipation, although this is rare. Other reported side effects include nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, arrhythmias, dry mouth, increased thirst or urination, and mental confusion.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with hypercalcaemia associated with sarcoidosis and bone metastasis. Use cautiously in patients with impaired renal function, cardiac disease, or sarcoidosis, and in individuals with a history of kidney stones. Avoid intravenous administration in patients on cardiac glycosides.

Storage: Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
