AZ Powder for Suspension (20ml bottle)
Presentation:
- Contains Azithromycin USP as Azithromycin Dihydrate USP.
- When reconstituted as directed, the total volume of the suspension will be 20 ml. The concentration of azithromycin in the reconstituted suspension will vary depending on the strength (e.g., 100mg/5ml or 200mg/5ml).Please check the product label for the exact strength per 5ml.
Indications:AZ (Azithromycin) is a macrolide antibiotic indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms in:
- Upper respiratory tract infections: Acute bacterial sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis.
- Lower respiratory tract infections: Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia.
- Skin and soft tissue infections: Uncomplicatedskin and skin structure infections.
- Acute otitis media.
Dosage and Administration:
- Dosage and duration of treatment will vary depending on the type of infection and the patient's age and weight. Always follow the doctor's prescription.
