Anilic 200 Tablet

Presentation: Each tablet contains Tolfenamic acid 200 mg. 

Indications: Anilic 200 is used for:

• Relieving pain associated with acute migraine attacks.
• Mild to moderate pain.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults for acute migraine attacks: 200 mg at the onset of symptoms, may be repeated once after 1-2 hours.
• Adults for mild to moderate pain: 100-200 mg three times daily (tid).
• It should be taken with food.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Tolfenamic acid or other NSAIDs.
• Active or history of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration.
• Severe heart, kidney, or liver failure.
• Third trimester of pregnancy.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include:

• Diarrhea
• Dizziness
• Drowsiness
• Gastrointestinal discomfort
• Nausea

Less common but potentially serious side effects include:

• Hepatic damage
• Pancreatitis
• Stevens-Johnson syndrome
• Gastrointestinal bleeding

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with asthma, bronchospasm, bleeding disorders, cardiovascular diseases, peptic ulceration, hypertension, and liver or kidney impairment.
• Avoid in severe renal impairment.
• Not recommended during pregnancy, especially the third trimester.
• Use with caution when breastfeeding.
• May cause drowsiness; use caution when driving or operating machinery.

Drug Interactions:

• The absorption rate increases with Metoclopramide and Magnesium hydroxide but decreases with Aluminium hydroxide.
• Increases the risk of bleeding with anticoagulants and other NSAIDs.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
