Presentation: Each tablet contains Empagliflozin 25 mg. Available in strips.

Indications:Adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovasculardisease.  

Dosage and Administration:The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food. In patients toleratingthis dose and requiring additional glycemic control, the dose may be increased to 25 mg once daily. Dosage should be individualized based on patient response and renal function.

Side Effects: Common side effects include urinary tract infections and female genital mycotic infections. Other possible side effects include increased urination, increased thirst, nausea, and genital fungal infections.

Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reaction to empagliflozin or any of its ingredients, severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease,or dialysis. Not recommended for use in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus or for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis. Assess renal function prior to initiation and periodically thereafter.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
