Vomix DR Tablet - (10mg+10mg)
Generic Name: Doxylamine Succinate + Pyridoxine Hydrochloride

Strength: Each delayed-release tablet contains Doxylamine Succinate USP 10 mg and Pyridoxine Hydrochloride USP 10 mg.
Indications:
- Vomix DR is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy in women who do not respond to conservative management.
Dosage and Administration:
- The usual starting dose is two tablets orally at bedtime (Day 1).
- If this dose adequately controls symptoms the next day, continue taking two tablets daily at bedtime only.
- If symptoms persist on Day 2, increase the daily dose to one tablet in the morning and two tablets at bedtime (Day 3).
- If nausea and vomiting are controlled on Day 3, continue taking one tablet in the morning and two tablets at bedtime.
- If symptoms persist on Day 3, the dose may be further increased to a maximum of one tablet in the morning, one tablet in the afternoon, and two tablets at bedtime (Day 4).
- Do not exceed the maximum dose of four tablets (1 in the morning, 1 in the mid-afternoon, and 2 at bedtime) in 1 day.
- Vomix DR should be taken on an empty stomach with a glass of water.
- Swallow the tablets whole. Do not crush, chew, or split them.
- Take daily and not on an as-needed basis.
Contraindications:
Vomix DR is contraindicated in women with any of the following conditions:
- Known hypersensitivity to doxylamine succinate, other ethanolamine derivative antihistamines, pyridoxine hydrochloride, or any inactive ingredient in the formulation.
- Concurrent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) as they can intensify and prolong the anticholinergic effects of antihistamines.
Side Effects:
- Common: Somnolence (drowsiness).
- Other possible side effects: Dizziness, nervousness, stomach pain, headache, diarrhea, irritability, insomnia.
- Serious side effects: Allergic reactions (including skin rash, hives, swelling, trouble breathing). If any severe or unusual side effects occur, seek immediate medical attention.
Precautions:
- Vomix DR may cause somnolence. Avoid activities requiring complete mental alertness, such as driving or operating heavy machinery, until you know how the medication affects you.
- Use with caution in women with asthma, increased intraocular pressure, narrow-angle glaucoma, stenosing peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal obstruction, or urinary bladder-neck obstruction due to its anticholinergic properties.
- Alcohol and other CNS depressants: Concurrent use is not recommended as it may increase drowsiness.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation:
- Pregnancy: Vomix DR is intended for use in pregnant women and is classified as Pregnancy Category A.
- Lactation: Both doxylamine succinate and pyridoxine hydrochloride are excreted into breast milk. Caution should be exercised while breastfeeding.
Storage:
- Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light.
- Keep out of reach of children.
