Presentation:

Each film-coated tablet contains 25 mg of Atenolol BP.

Indications:

Tenoren is indicated for the management of:

  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)
  • Cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats)
  • Myocardial infarction (heart attack) - for long-term management after the acute phase

Dosage and Administration:

The dosage depends on the condition being treated and the patient's response.

  • Hypertension: Usually starts at 50 mg once daily, which may be increased to 100 mg daily.
  • Angina Pectoris: Usually 50 mg once daily, which may be increased to 100 mg daily.
  • Arrhythmias: Dosage varies depending on the type of arrhythmia.
  • Post-Myocardial Infarction: Usually 50 mg twice daily.

It is usually taken orally once or twice a day. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment.

Side Effects:

Precautions:
