Sinjard-L 10/5
Presentation: Tablets containing 10 mg of empagliflozin and 5 mg of linagliptin.
Indications: Sinjard-L 10/5 is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both empagliflozin and linagliptin is appropriate.
Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose is one tablet (10 mg empagliflozin/5 mg linagliptin) once daily. It can be taken orally once daily with or without food. If used in combination with a sulfonylurea or insulin, a lower dose of the sulfonylurea or insulin may be considered to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia. The dosage should be individualized based on the patient's current regimen, effectiveness, and tolerability, not exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose of 10 mg empagliflozin and 5 mg linagliptin.
Side Effects: Common side effects associated with empagliflozin may include urinary tract infections and increased urination. Common side effects associated with linagliptin may include nasopharyngitis (common cold) and headache. When used in combination, other possible side effects include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), especially when used with insulin or sulfonylureas. Less common but potentially serious side effects can occur. Report any persistent or troublesome side effects to your doctor.
Precautions:
Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
