Residon 2

Presentation:
Each tablet contains 2 mg Risperidone. 

Indications:

• Treatment of schizophrenia

• Management of acute manic episodes in bipolar disorder

• Symptom control in autistic disorder (irritability)

Dosage and Administration:

• Schizophrenia: 2-6 mg daily (single or divided doses)

• Bipolar mania: 2-3 mg daily

• Elderly: Start with 0.5 mg twice daily

• Take with/without food

• Swallow whole with water

Side Effects:

• Extrapyramidal symptoms

• Weight gain

• Sedation/drowsiness

• Orthostatic hypotension

• Hyperprolactinemia

Precautions:

• Not recommended for dementia-related psychosis

• Caution in cardiovascular disease

• Monitor glucose and lipids regularly

• May impair temperature regulation

• Use caution when driving/operating machinery

Storage:

• Store below 30°C

• Protect from light and moisture

• Keep in original packaging
