Radigel is a natural, bulk-forming laxative containing Psyllium Husk (composed of 80% soluble fiber). When mixed with water, the husk expands and absorbs moisture to form a smooth, thick gel. This gel increases stool volume and water content, facilitating comfortable bowel movements and gently regularizing digestive transit.
Beyond its digestive properties, the mucilage in Radigel exerts a soothing effect on the gastric and intestinal mucosa, while the soluble fiber helps trap and eliminate dietary fats and sugars in the gut.
Radigel is indicated for:
Constipation & Bowel Regularity: Relieving acute or chronic constipation and managing Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Pain-Free Bowel Movements: Assisting patients who must avoid straining, such as those with hemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, colon cancer, or individuals recovering from recent anal or rectal surgeries.
Metabolic Support: Assisting in the reduction of elevated LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and helping lower blood glucose levels, making it a highly suitable adjunct for diabetic or obese patients.
Pregnancy: Safely treating pregnancy-induced constipation.
To prevent the powder from thickening before ingestion and to ensure optimal efficacy, follow these step-by-step directions carefully:
Adults & Children over 12 years: 1 spoonful mixed with water 2 times daily, or up to 3 times daily depending on clinical need.
Children 6 to 12 years: ½ to 1 spoonful mixed with water (adjusted for age and size) in the morning and at bedtime.
Children under 6 years: Not recommended unless explicitly directed by a physician.
💡 Important Safety Tip: Always drink an additional full glass of water immediately after taking Radigel. Bulk-forming fibers require ample fluids to expand correctly and move smoothly through the digestive tract.
Side Effects: Some individuals may experience mild flatulence (gas) or temporary abdominal distension (bloating) as the digestive system adapts to increased fiber intake.
Contraindications: Do not use if you have a known gastrointestinal tract obstruction, fecal impaction, or any condition indicating a threatening or narrowed bowel blockage. Taking bulk laxatives under these conditions can worsen an obstruction.
Interactions: No significant drug interactions have been reported. However, because soluble fibers can alter the absorption rate of other oral medications, it is generally best practice to take your prescription medicines either 1 hour before or 2 hours after consuming Radigel.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct humidity. Keep the container tightly closed and out of the reach of children.
