Nexum MUPS tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and can be taken with or without food. For patients who have difficulty swallowing, the tablet can be dispersed in half a glass of non-carbonated water; stir until disintegrated and drink immediately or within 30 minutes. The pellets should not be chewed or crushed.

Less common but potentially serious side effects can occur. If you experience any unusual symptoms, especially severe stomach pain, watery diarrhea, fever, changes in heart rate, muscle spasms, seizures, or signs of allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention.
