Primary Uses (Indications)

Nafgal Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections caused by Trichophyton rubrum, including:

• Athlete’s foot (Interdigital tinea pedis)

• Jock itch (Tinea cruris)

• Ringworm (Tinea corporis)

How It Works (Pharmacology)

Nafgal inhibits a key enzyme (squalene 2,3-epoxidase) required for fungal cell membrane development, stopping fungal growth and clearing the infection.

Dosage & Application

• Instructions: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin plus a ½-inch margin of healthy surrounding skin once daily for 2 weeks, or as prescribed.

• Age Group: Approved for adults and adolescents aged 12–17 years for athlete's foot and jock itch.

• Always use under the guidance of a registered physician.

Precautions & Side Effects

• Common Side Effect: Mild itching or irritation (pruritus) at the application site.

• Warnings: Discontinue use immediately if severe irritation or allergic sensitivity develops.

• Interactions: No known drug interactions reported.

• Overdose: Topical overuse is generally not harmful, but stick to prescribed amounts.

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy: Category B. Use only if clearly needed and advised by a doctor.

• Breastfeeding: Use with caution, as it is unknown if the drug passes into human breast milk.
