Indications:

Epicure 50 is indicated as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial-onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults, adolescents, and children from 1 month of age.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults, adolescents, and children from 4 years of age: The recommended starting dose is 50 mg/day, administered in two divided doses. Based on individual patient response and tolerability, the dose may be adjusted in the range of 20 mg/day to 100 mg/day.
• Children from 1 month to less than 4 years: The recommended starting dose is 0.5 mg/kg/day, administered in two divided doses. Based on individual patient response and tolerability, the dose may be adjusted in the range of 0.5 mg/kg/day to 2.5 mg/kg/day.

Contraindications:

Epicure 50 is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to brivaracetam or other pyrrolidone derivatives.

• Suicidal Behavior and Ideation: Antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), including brivaracetam, increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior.
