Strength: Available in 8 mg tablets.

Indications:

Emeren 8 is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by:

• Chemotherapy
• Radiotherapy
• Surgery (post-operative)

Dosage and Administration:

Dosage depends on the cause of nausea and vomiting and patient age. Your doctor will determine the correct dose.

• Chemotherapy: Usually 8 mg orally 1-2 hours before chemotherapy, followed by 8 mg 12 hours later.
• Radiotherapy: Usually 8 mg orally 1-2 hours before radiotherapy.
• Post-operative: Usually 16 mg orally 1 hour before anesthesia.
• Can be taken with or without food.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to ondansetron.
• Use with apomorphine.

Side Effects:

• Common: Headache, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue.
• Less Common: Dizziness, drowsiness.
• Rare: Allergic reactions, chest pain, arrhythmias.

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with heart problems or liver disease.
• May mask symptoms of bowel obstruction.

• Consult your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Storage:

• Store below 30°C.
• Protect from light and moisture.
