Presentation:

Tablet: Each tablet contains 5 mg Nebivolol Hydrochloride.

Indications:

• Hypertension.

• Treatment of stable mild and moderate chronic heart failure in addition to standard therapies in elderly patients.

Dosage and Administration:

• Hypertension:

  • The usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily.

  • The dose may be increased at 2-week intervals if needed.

• Chronic Heart Failure:

  • Initial dose is 1.25 mg once daily.

  • The dose is gradually increased at 1-2 week intervals as tolerated.

Side Effects:

Common side effects include:

• Headache

• Fatigue

• Dizziness

• Diarrhea

• Nausea

Precautions:

• Bradycardia

• Heart block

• Cardiogenic shock

• Decompensated cardiac failure

• Severe hepatic impairment

Contraindications:

• Severe bradycardia

• Heart block greater than first degree

• Cardiogenic shock

• Decompensated cardiac failure

• Sick sinus syndrome (unless a permanent pacemaker is in place)

• Severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh >B)

• Hypersensitivity to any component

Store in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
