Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing Flupentixol dihydrochloride (equivalent to 0.5 mg Flupentixol) and Melitracen hydrochloride (equivalent to 10 mg Melitracen).
Indications: Used for anxiety, depression, apathy, psychogenic depression, depressive neuroses, psychosomatic problems with anxiety and apathy, menopausal depression, and depression in alcoholics and drug addicts.
Dosage & Administration: For adults, usually 2 tablets daily (morning and noon). In severe cases, the morning dose may be increased to 2 tablets, with a maximum of 4 tablets daily. For elderly patients, the usual dose is 1 tablet in the morning, which can be increased to 1 tablet in the morning and 1 at noon in severe cases. The maintenance dose is usually 1 tablet in the morning. Follow your doctor's instructions.
Side Effects: Side effects are rare at recommended doses but may include transient restlessness and insomnia.
Precautions: Use with caution if you have previously been treated with tranquilizers that have a sedative effect, and these should be withdrawn gradually.
Contraindications: Should not be used in the immediate recovery phase after a heart attack, with defects in bundle-branch conduction, untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, or in cases of acute alcohol, barbiturate, and opiate intoxication. Not recommended for excitable patients as it may worsen these characteristics. Should not be given to patients who have taken an MAO inhibitor within the last two weeks.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: Should preferably not be given during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Storage: Store below 30°C in a dry place.
