Coralbon D Extend 

Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing Calcium Carbonate USP (from coral source) equivalent to Elemental Calcium 600 mg and Vitamin D3 USP 400 IU. Available in strips of [Specify number, e.g., 10 or 20] tablets, manufactured by [Specify Manufacturer, if known, e.g., Modern Drug (Herbal) in Bangladesh].

Indications: Coralbon D Extend is indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium and Vitamin D deficiency and is used in conditions such as:

• Osteoporosis
• Osteomalacia
• Tetany
• Hypoparathyroidism
• Disorders of osteogenesis
• As a supplement in case of inadequate intake of calcium in childhood diet, rickets, pregnancy & lactation, and elderly patients. 
• Other indications include pancreatitis and as a phosphate binder in chronic renal failure.

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dosage is one tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water or as directed by the physician. Taking it with a full stomach ensures better absorption.

Side Effects: Flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, and upper gastrointestinal discomfort may rarely occur. Hypercalcemia due to prolonged use has rarely been reported. Allergic reactions, irregular heartbeats, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, dry mouth, and drowsiness are also possible. Skin rash has occasionally been reported following Vitamin D3 supplementation.

Precautions: Coralbon D Extend is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components, hypercalcemia resulting from Vitamin D3 overdose, hyperparathyroidism, bone metastases, severe renal insufficiency, severe hypercalciuria, and renal calculi. Vitamin D should be used with caution in patients with impairment of renal function, and the effect on calcium and phosphate levels should be monitored. During long-term treatment, serum calcium levels should be followed, and renal function should be monitored through measurement of serum creatinine.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
