Chear 100 is a tablet containing 100 mg of Sertraline Hydrochloride. Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It is manufactured by ACI Limited in Bangladesh.

Indications:

Chear (Sertraline) is used to treat various mental health conditions, including:

• Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) 
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) 
• Panic Disorder 
• Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) 
• Social Anxiety Disorder(Social Phobia)
• Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)
• Anxiety

Dosage and Administration:

The usual starting dose for depression, OCD, and panic disorder is 50 mg once daily. For PTSD and social anxiety disorder, the starting dose is usually 25 mg once daily, increasing to 50 mg daily after one week. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on your response and tolerability, up to a maximum of 200 mg per day. Chear tablets can be taken with or without food, usually once daily.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Vomiting
• Dry mouth
• Loss of appetite
• Increased sweating
• Tremors
• Insomnia (difficulty sleeping)
• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Sexual side effects like decreased sexual drive, delayed ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction.

Precautions:

Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver problems, kidney disease, seizures, heart problems, or allergies. Sertraline can interact with other medications, especially MAO inhibitors. Be aware of potential mood changes, anxiety, agitation, and suicidal thoughts, especially at the beginning of treatment or when the dose is changed. Avoid abrupt discontinuation of the medication. Alcohol should be avoided while taking Chear as it may cause excessive drowsiness.
