- Available in strips of [mention typical strip size, e.g., 10 tablets].

- Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial).
- Symptomatic treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Dosage and Administration:
- Adults and adolescents (over 12 years): The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, with or without food.
Pharmacology:
- Rupatadine is a second-generation antihistamine. It is a long-acting, non-sedating antagonist of the H1-histamine receptor and also has antagonist activity against the platelet-activating factor (PAF). By inhibiting histamine and PAF, rupatadine helps to reduce the symptoms of allergic reactions.

- Headache
- Somnolence (drowsiness)
- Fatigue
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Uncommon side effects may include increased appetite, irritability, difficulty concentrating, nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, rash, and back pain.
Precautions:
- Use with caution in patients with known prolongation of the QTc interval, clinically significant cardiovascular diseases, uncorrected hypokalemia, and uncorrected hypomagnesemia.
- Caution should be exercised when rupatadine is co-administered with inhibitors of the CYP3A4 isoenzyme (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin) or inhibitors of P-glycoprotein (e.g., cyclosporine, verapamil) as this may increase systemic exposure to rupatadine.
- Avoid the use of rupatadine with grapefruit juice as it may increase the systemic exposure to rupatadine.
- The safety and efficacy of rupatadine in children under 12 years have not been established.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
- There are limited data on the use of rupatadine in pregnant women. Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects with respect to pregnancy, embryonal/foetal development, parturition or postnataldevelopment. As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid the use of rupatadine during pregnancy unless clearly needed.
- Rupatadine is excreted in animal milk. It is unknown if rupatadine is excreted in human milk. A decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, taking into account the importanceof the drug to the mother.
